From the Field to Project Management with Bobby Laudani
A drawing can show you what needs to be built. Understanding everything it takes to bring that drawing to life is another story.
For Bobby Laudani, Project Manager at Chesapeake Glazing, that understanding began long before he entered the glazing industry.
Bobby started his career in tilt-up construction, working on a panel crew building warehouses and distribution centers. That hands-on experience sparked an interest in drafting and eventually led him into commercial glazing and project management.
Today, he brings that perspective to the projects he manages at Chesapeake Glazing.
Connecting Every Part of the Project
Successful commercial glazing involves much more than managing schedules and budgets. It requires coordination between vendors, general contractors, fabrication teams, and field professionals.
For Bobby, keeping those relationships strong and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising quality are important parts of his role.
But one of his favorite aspects of project management is seeing the work firsthand.
Whether he’s visiting our fabrication shop or walking a jobsite, Bobby enjoys watching the drawings and plans transform into something tangible.
It’s a reminder that effective project management isn’t just about understanding the schedule. It’s about understanding the work behind it..
