First Up: Meet Joanna Townsend | Lead Estimator | 8 Years at Chesapeake Glazing
Joanna Townsend is proof that hard work, focus, and dedication open doors early. While still a student at Century High School in Sykesville, Maryland, she enrolled in the Carroll County Career and Technology Center’s drafting program and earned her AutoCAD certification. Just one month after graduating in 2017, Joanna joined Chesapeake Glazing as a drafting assistant.
Her precision and drive quickly stood out. By 2019, she advanced into an estimating role, and today she serves as Lead Estimator, overseeing project bids and supporting the preconstruction process with exceptional technical understanding and accuracy.
Dedication to Growth and Craft
Joanna’s journey reflects the core of what Chesapeake Glazing values most: growth through mentorship and collaboration. She credits much of her development to the support and guidance of her teammates and mentors who helped her refine both her technical and leadership skills.
Now, as a leader herself, Joanna is committed to passing that same knowledge along to the estimators on her team. Her approach combines technical skill with a respect for craftsmanship, ensuring every estimate is backed by the same attention to detail that defines Chesapeake Glazing’s reputation.
