Behind the Build: Meet Warren “The Beard” Mellin

On this Veterans Day, we were proud to celebrate one of our own. At Chesapeake Glazing, our work is shaped by the people who lead it, and few embody our values more clearly than Warren Mellin. His story is one of service, commitment, and the kind of steady leadership that strengthens every project he touches.

From Military Service to a Career in Construction

Before joining Chesapeake Glazing, Warren served with distinction in the United States Army. His assignments took him from Fort Knox to Germany, Afghanistan, and Fort Hood. Along the way, he developed the discipline, resilience, and integrity that would later become the foundation of his career in construction.

When Warren transitioned into the glazing industry, those qualities became immediately evident. He joined Chesapeake Glazing in 2018, bringing with him a work ethic shaped by years of military service and a dedication to doing the job the right way every time.

Leading With Purpose and Precision

As a Senior Project Manager, Warren oversees the daily operations of our entire Project Management team. He ensures that each project begins with clear expectations and ends with the level of quality our clients rely on. His leadership helps guide every touchpoint, from the first client meeting to the final inspection.

Those who work alongside him know him as reliable, forward-thinking, and committed to excellence. His ability to support his team, solve problems, and maintain steady coordination has made him an essential part of the Chesapeake Glazing family.

A Heart for Family and Community

Warren’s dedication extends well beyond the job site. He is a devoted husband and father of two, and he gives back to his community as a youth football coach for the Mt. Airy Bulldogs and a softball coach for the MD Sting. When he isn’t mentoring young athletes, he can often be found outdoors, hunting deer and black bear at his family’s cabin in Pennsylvania.

We are honored to recognize Warren’s contributions, both to our company and to our country. His dedication, integrity, and steady leadership remind us of the values carried by so many who have served. As we honor Warren, we also extend our deepest gratitude to veterans everywhere. Your courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us, and we are humbled to work alongside individuals whose service shapes our communities in lasting ways.

Thank you to Warren, and thank you to all who have worn the uniform. Your commitment makes a difference every day.
