Champion of Safety and Quality: Honoring Excellence in Action

At Chesapeake Glazing, safety and quality are more than priorities; they are values that guide everything we do, from the fabrication shop to every project site. These principles define how we work, how we lead, and how we support one another as a team.

To recognize the individuals who embody these standards each day, we’re proud to introduce our Champion of Safety and Quality series. Each feature highlights a team member whose dedication to excellence strengthens our company and sets an example for others to follow.

Meet Aaron (AJ) Johnson: Champion of Safety and Quality

This month, we are proud to recognize Aaron “AJ” Johnson, whose leadership and attention to detail have made a lasting impact across Chesapeake Glazing.

Glazing, Safety, Quality

AJ played a pivotal role in achieving our North American Contractor Certification (NACC), a distinction that makes Chesapeake Glazing the only NACC-certified glazing contractor in Maryland. His initiative, organization, and commitment to excellence helped guide our team through the rigorous certification process, ensuring every standard was met and every procedure documented.

Since earning that certification, AJ has continued to lead the charge in maintaining compliance and upholding the principles behind it. He oversees documentation, manages internal audits, and has helped us successfully pass two consecutive annual NACC reviews.

Beyond certification, AJ’s contributions extend to every part of our safety culture. He coordinates quarterly safety standdowns, ensures training and certifications remain current, and promotes consistent communication around safe work practices. His dedication reinforces our shared belief that quality and safety are inseparable parts of performance.
