President with Purpose

In 2026, we welcome Mike O’Neal into the role of President of Chesapeake Glazing, marking a leadership transition shaped by decades of earned experience and intentional growth. Coming shortly after Chesapeake Glazing celebrated our 20th anniversary, this moment reflects both how far we have come and the direction we are heading next.

For two decades, we have built our reputation by holding ourselves to standards that can be measured, audited, and proven. From investing in AGMT certified glaziers and OSHA 30 training to earning consecutive North American Contractor Certifications and maintaining a strong safety record, our growth has always been rooted in accountability and consistency.

A Career Defined by Opportunity and Discipline

Mike’s rise within Chesapeake Glazing was not accidental. At sixteen years old, preparing to support a young family, he needed more than a paycheck. He needed stability, benefits, and a career with a future. Construction offered a path forward. Glazing changed his trajectory.

What began as an entry level role quickly revealed a trade built on structure, upward mobility, and long-term opportunity. Mike approached each step with intention, learning every aspect of the work, earning trust through performance, and building credibility along the way.

That long term mindsets extends beyond work. Mike and his wife, Courtney, have been married for thirty years, reflecting the same values of commitment and sustainability he brings to leadership.

Raising the Standard Through Accountability

Under Mike’s leadership, we have continued to raise expectations for what it means to be a commercial glazing partner. All of our lead glaziers are AGMT certified, and our crews complete OSHA 30 training, reinforcing our belief that safety and quality are inseparable.

We also choose to validate our standards through consecutive North American Contractor Certifications, maintained through comprehensive annual audits. These evaluations ensure our procedures are not only established, but consistently followed, measured, and improved.

Investing in People and the Future

At the core of Chesapeake Glazing’s culture is an uncompromising focus on quality and accountability. Programs such as Champion of Safety and Quality and a structured Safety and Quality Bonus Program reinforce leadership, craftsmanship, and trust across the organization.

We are especially committed to creating opportunity for the next generation of tradespeople. With a significant portion of the industry nearing retirement, we became the only glazier in Maryland with a state approved apprenticeship program, offering a three year paid pathway to journeyman status.

Moving Forward with Purpose

For our clients and partners, Mike’s leadership shows up in consistency, collaboration, and trust. Through early engagement, design assist, in house fabrication, and clear communication, we approach every project as a partnership.

As Mike O’Neal steps into the role of President and ownership in 2026, we move forward with momentum built over twenty years and a future shaped by integrity, ambition, and people.
